Student Academic Success Specialists and Academic Advisors are here to support undergraduate students in the Lurie College of Education (LCOE) with a wide range of academic needs, including:
- General Education advising
- Academic schedule planning
- Change of major (into or within LCOE)
- Transfer credit evaluation
- Graduation planning
- University policies & procedures
- University and college petitions
- Academic notice & disqualification advising
Advisors are available in person (Sweeney Hall, Room 106) or virtually via Zoom.

Note: Graduate students should contact their home department for advising, as graduate-level guidance is handled within individual academic programs.
Advising by Academic Level
Lower-Division Advising (0–59 units completed)
Meet with a Student Academic Success Specialist in the LCOE Student Success Center, located in Sweeney Hall, Room 106, or schedule a Zoom appointment.
Upper-Division Advising (60+ units completed)
Meet with an Academic Advisor in the LCOE Student Success Center, located in Sweeney Hall, Room 106, or schedule a Zoom appointment.
Appointment Policies
No-Show Policy:
The LCOE Student Success Center follows the Spartan Connect No-Show Policy.
- Students who fail to arrive on time for a scheduled appointment will be marked as a no-show.
- After three no-shows, students will be blocked from self-scheduling appointments for 120 days.
- Blocked students can still schedule by contacting the front desk directly for assistance.
Cancellation Policy:
Appointments can be canceled up to two hours before the scheduled time. To cancel, students may:
- Email their advisor
- Call or email the Student Success Center front desk
- Cancel directly through Spartan Connect
