Bio
Dr. Anagnos served as Vice Provost of Undergraduate Education from 2015 to 2023 and retired in June 2023. She a former Engineering professor where her teaching and research interests included mechanics, structural analysis, reliability, seismic hazard, loss estimation, and engineering education and pedagogy. In 2012, she received the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Outstanding Professor Award.
She is the Past-President of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (), the former editor of the EERI Newsletter, and a former member of the Editorial Board of the EERI journal . She served as the co-Leader of Education, Outreach, and Training for the Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation (NEES) from 2009-2014. She served on the Institutional Board of the for 10 years and as President of the San Jose Branch of the American Society of Civil Engineers () during the 2000-2001 term. Currently she serves on the organizing committee for the Silicon Valley Women in Engineering Conference. For 20 years she served on the organization committee for the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Expanding Your Horizons Conference to interest more young women in mathematics, science and engineering.
