Key Statewide Primary Election Dates (Santa Clara County)

  • The last day to register to vote for the June 2, 2026 California Primary Election and receive a vote by mail (VBM) ballot is May 18, 2026.

  • Missed the registration deadline? Same-day or conditional voter registration begins on May 19, 2026.

  • All Santa Clara County active registered voters will receive a vote-by-mail ballot for the June 2, 2026 Primary Election. Your county elections office began mailing ballots starting the week of May 4, 2026.

  • Secure ballot drop-off locations opened on May 5, 2026.

  • Vote-by-mail ballots can be returned by mail, at a drop-off location, or your county elections office.

  • Election Day (the last day to vote in the California Primary Election) is June 2, 2026. Polls are open on Election Day 7am-8pm.

  • Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked no later than June 2. If mailing on Elections Day, get a hand-stamped postmark from a postal employee inside a United States Post Office.

ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Vote Center

There are two vote centers on campus for the June 2 California Primary Election.

They are both 4-Day Vote Centers open May 30-June 1, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Election Day, June 2, from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm.
