Spartan Food Pantry

All ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø students have access to the Spartan Food Pantry in the Diaz Compean Student Union, as well as other basic needs supports through ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø Cares.

Apple Program

Ten San José State students have been selected to participate in Apple’s Next-Gen Innovators Mentorship program, a ten-month opportunity that pairs college sophomores and juniors with mentors from Apple’s hardware engineering team.

Y Combinator Program

Mizan Rupan-Tompkins, ’28 Computer Science and Linguistics, and Hunter Nguyen, ’28 Computer Science, were recently accepted into the prestigious Y Combinator program, a startup accelerator that is well-known for incubating companies like Airbnb and Doordash.

One of the best decisions I made while being a student at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø is making the decision to be a Peer Educator for 3 years. I took on different roles to support and guide my fellow students. As an S.I. Leader for the first 2 years, I facilitated group tutoring sessions in Biology and Chemistry. These interactive sessions allowed my peers to grasp high-yield topics and enhance their academic success, which was very rewarding for me to witness.
