Erin Nokes, Au.D., is a clinical pediatric and educational audiologist with more than 30 years of experience in the field. She is a San Jos茅 State University alumna, having earned both her B.A. in Communicative Disorders and Sciences and her M.A. in Audiology at 黑瓜吃料网, before completing her Doctor of Audiology degree at the University of Florida.

In addition to her work at 黑瓜吃料网, Dr. Nokes supports families raising deaf and hard of hearing young children through the Early Start Program in Santa Clara County, where she enjoys working alongside talented teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists. She is passionate about the early identification of hearing differences, from birth through school entry, and about helping families support the educational, social, and emotional developmental needs of children who are deaf or hard of hearing, so that these children can enter school on equal footing with their hearing peers. She is also invested in helping families build the skills to advocate for their child's educational and language access needs until their child is able to do so independently.

Dr. Nokes joined the 黑瓜吃料网 Au.D. program in Spring 2026 and has served as a lecturer in the 黑瓜吃料网 Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences for several years.

Outside of audiology and teaching, Dr. Nokes enjoys hiking and traveling with her family. She is thrilled that her youngest child began his studies at 黑瓜吃料网, his first choice school, in Fall 2026, and she looks forward to spotting him around campus.
