How to Communicate when Canvas is Down
Send an email to all your students from PeopleSoft.
- Go to and select the MyºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø sign in link.
- Enter your ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø ID and password.
- Ensure your correct term is selected.
- Select the class you want to view by selecting the class roster icon. The class roster icon is represented by a drawing of three people.
- At the bottom of the screen, select Notify All Students.
- A new window will appear and you can edit the subject and message text.
- Finally, select Send Notification.
Students will recieve an email in their preferred email inbox. For most students it will be their ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø email. Instructors will also receive a copy of the email in their ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø email inbox.

How to Communicate with Students Using Canvas
In emergencies it is particularly important to communicate clearly, consistently, and in a concise manner. Canvas, the Learning Management System (LMS) that ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø uses, allows instructors to communicate effectively with their students.
