Which GE Applies to Me?

Every undergraduate who matriculates at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø as a first year or a transfer student must successfully complete a set of GE courses to graduate. Your GE options are determined by the in effect at the time you began your college-level studies (not while enrolled in high school) or at the time you graduate from ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø.

Undergraduates who maintain continuous enrollment from the time they begin studying at a community college or at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø have three catalog options as described below. Continuous enrollment means that you have been enrolled for at least one semester or quarter (not including winter or summer sessions) each calendar year since beginning your college studies.

If you maintain continuous enrollment, you may choose to meet the ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø graduation requirements in the catalog that was in effect at one of the following three times:

  1. At the time you began studying at a community college
  2. At the time you begin your degree program at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø, whether a first-year or a transfer student
  3. At the time you graduate from ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø.

If you have taken one or more breaks in your study that last longer than a year, consult with your major advisor and an advisor in your college's Student Success Center about the catalog year(s) that apply to your situation.
