All new Semester at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø (SAS) students must attend orientation week activities with International Gateways. These orientation activities are designed to help students become familiar with ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø and IG academic policies and support services. The activities also allow students to meet other new students and make lasting connections.

What will you do at SAS Orientation? 

  • Gain insights into Immigration Advising, covering I-20 related questions 
  • Understand Student Conduct and Ethical Development including Plagiarism policies 
  • Take a campus tour including visiting the library, gym, wellness center and the police department
  • Explore the state-of-the-art facilities at ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø
  • Attend mandatory training on ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏÍø's Title IX and gender Equity Office along with Title IX Compliance Training
  • Take a downtown tour to acquaint yourself with the city of San José 
  • Attend personalized advising sessions with admissions and academic advisors
