ºÚ¹Ï³ÔÁÏ꿉۪s Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC)

Our Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) is a welcoming, peer-driven space for students exploring recovery. We support students who are in recovery, sober-curious, or seeking to reduce their risk around substance use in a respectful, judgment-free environment.
CRC supports the whole student through connection, encouragement, and wellness-based support. This includes using the , an evidence-informed approach to individual and group goal-setting, encouragement, and empowerment to define recovery on their own terms and thrive both on campus and beyond. As a Member of the , we strive to create a campus culture that embraces recovery and a sense of belonging for all students.

Meet our Peer Mentor

Hello, my name is Jennifer Celaya (pronouns: she/her). I am currently studying Social Work at San José State University, and I serve as a Collegiate Recovery Peer Mentor. My journey includes lived experience with recovery, which has shaped both my personal growth and my commitment to supporting others. I believe that sharing even small parts of our stories helps reduce stigma and reminds people they are not alone. In my view, recovery extends beyond personal effort; it is most effective when supported within a community context. Peers play a vital role by offering understanding, encouragement, and accountability. When we come together, we create a safe space where healing, resilience, and hope can flourish.
